Justina Ford-Whom this bag is named in honor of was a Physician that was born in 1871 and passed1952. She always had a strong desire to practice medicine. She had a difficult time getting her license in medicine due to the color of her skin. She relocated to Denver and eventually (after getting her physician licensing after graduating from Tuskegee Institute). She then became the first black woman to practice medicine in Denver, Co. and became "the lady Doctor".
